Alright … one more performance for the record books. Last night I played the Open Mic Night at Coalie Harry’s in downtown Winchester, and I just rocked the house … ok maybe not, but I had a lot of fun. I played Lucky Town, You, Born, I Know (Which Way), Lucky Town again (by request), One, and The Time Is Yours. As usual, and as I anticipated, Lucky Town got a huge reception. I don’t really think of it as my best song, but everyone else seems to think is, so why argue? πŸ™‚ Anyway, I have (or will have soon) posted pictures from the performance.

Furthermore, for at least the next two Thursdays I am planning to play the Open Mic again. On January 27th I will be going to the Six Pence club in Parkersburg, WV to play for a songwriter’s show, where in attendance will be some representatives from the Nashville Songwriters Assocation International. We’ll have a little private demo, and then play live after 9:00. I am going to pitch Lucky Town, and if I am incredibly lucky, I might get it out to the public somehow. I’m crossing my fingers.

February 1, I will be playing the Open Mic Night at Shenandoah University, and it’d be great for everyone to come out and see me. This will likely be the biggest crowd I have ever played for, so I anticipate it with enthusiasm. It is my understanding that this Open Mic recurs the first Wednesday of every month, so I will probably play it again some too.

I guess soon I’ll have to add an “Events” link to the left hand column of my page … it sure is getting full. I’m also thinking of making a “Top Ten” section, where I list my favorite 10 current songs, all-time songs, etc. I think it will be interesting, though it is incredibly difficult for me to name pick favorites. It may also end up being “Top 50” or something like that. News Archive > January 3, 2006

Happy New Year everyone! I cannot believe it has been two years since I put this site online. Hopefully, this year will bring great things to my musical career. (Of course πŸ™‚ )

As you have probably noticed, I have made a minor facelift to the front page in order to facilitate use of my site for the increased number of new users I am receiving (Thanks in great part to the Million Dollar Homepage). Let me know what you think of the updates.

I feel very confident now in my projects, and I hope to hit the studio heavily to pump out my new stuff, as well as new versions of the old songs from my “demo albums.” I’ll keep you posted. You’ll notice the songs I update will appear as underlined on the Albums/Projects page. News Archive > December 11, 2005

Where have all the cowboys gone? My forums lie dormant, alas their thrill was but temporary. Nah there is always solace in potential don’t you know? And of course, it has been more than a month since I have posted any news.

For all of you new visitors, take a listen to a few of the songs I have up. If you like bluegrass, you’ll probably like “The Holler Wind” on my project “Sneaky Whisper.” If you like rock, well “Unnatural” is the album for you. More into acoustic stuff? Try “Triad.” For just plain music lovers, well click a song and try it. There are lots of songs to whet your appetite. Once you listen, log into my forums and tell everyone what you think! Then just spend the rest of the day browsing all the random (and not so random) stuff that is here.

For everyone else, I have added lyrics to two more songs on “Two Sides Of The Same Soul.” Check ’em out! Only one more to go (maybe) … News Archive > November 15, 2005

I rerecorded the vocals on “Pieces” a month or so ago and I forgot to upload the updated version, so now it is up ! Not much else to say otherwise, but thanks everyone for using the forums thoroughly. The average hits I am getting a day has doubled, so keep up the good work ! News Archive > July 15, 2005

I just want to thank everyone for their input on “Unnatural” and I am glad most of you are enjoying it. I just wanted to explain a few new features of my site. As you can see, there are more options on the left now. You will also notice that if one of these pages listed has changed in the last week, when you hover the mouse over it, the time since it was updated will display in the page title. Also, you will see at the top of this screen a note that says when I last updated anything at all. I did this to help you notice right away whether or not something is different. Let me know if these features enhance your visit(s). πŸ™‚

Amid dire requests for me to update my website, since I can’t seem to do it without strict coercion, I have uploaded lo-fi versions of Heaven and Hell for everyone to enjoy (or abhor). For my next albums, rather than write something specifically, I am writing songs at random with certain projects in mind. Once I have enough songs for an album that make sense together, I will start recording. This way, I am free to write any song without worrying about fitting it on an album, and I can maintain a greater musical continuity throughout the album when I do record it.

I will keep everyone posted (hopefully) with any major status changes. Also, I hope soon to actually put stuff on the other sections of this site that I have not yet done anything with. I still haven’t posted the picture of my newest guitar.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Perhaps soon there will be something worth your reading time written here.
