Watching Santana blow the world away on this just inspired me to ridiculous heights. I really, at this point, began to identify myself with the music community, and promised myself that one day I would do the same thing, in some capacity. I will play on the Grammies one day.

Things are going slow on the album. There is absolutely no way I will reach my deadline of August 3. I simply don’t know where I want to take things or even if I like what I’ve done to this point. I do have 23 of 26 songs written and recorded, but I don’t know if I will keep the songs as they are or if I need to write new ones, rerecord what I have. Long story short, it will be at least a few months until I can get 26 songs done and start making a decision on the layout, etc. Lots of factors are coming into play–one of them being I can’t write songs where I am right now. There are others but no need for me to elaborate. Let us hope all goes well.
